How to Buy Smithing Stones with Bell Bearing Locations at Elden Ring •


Forging stones are resources used to upgrade weapons in Elden Ring.

While not particularly rare, these consumables are hidden and useful enough that you’ll want to know where to find them as soon as possible.

Although they can be found in The Lands Between, these valuables can also be purchased from Twin Maiden Husks in the Roundtable Hold. All you need to make them available is a series of different Forge Stone Bell Bearingseach corresponding to a level of Smithing Stone.

There are also two levels of Smithing Stone, the regular and the Dark Forge Stones. So, depending on your needs, this guide can tell you where to get the correct bell bearing so you can buy as many forging stones with runes as you want.

How to buy Smithing Stone 1 and 2 with Smithing Stone Bell Bearing 1

Crafting Forge Stone [1] and [2] available for purchase in the Roundtable Hold, you must navigate through a cave and defeat a boss.

The cave, Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel, is in Liurnia, towards the northeast side of the sunken lake. Before you enter there should be a red hole on the map, we have marked where it is and also provided an in-game screenshot to show you where the cave entrance is.


Once inside, you should find the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel Grace Site, then head into the cave itself. Along the way, you should also find Smithing Stones in the cave walls, so be sure to acquire them by exploring them as you go.


When you get to the bottom of the cave you will face a boss called the Crystalian, defeat him and you will then automatically receive the Smithing-Stone Miner’s Bell Roll. [1] – bring it to the Twin Maiden Husks in the Round Table and then you can buy the Smithing Stones [1] and [2].

The next Bell Bearing is in the Atlus Plateau, and can be found in a sealed tunnel chestwhich we’ve marked on the map and with an in-game image below.


If you’ve already managed to find the tunnel and its relevant grace site, head to the chest, otherwise here’s how to get to it from the main path.

Teleport to Grace’s site of the Outer Wall Ghost Tree and head east. When you get to the cliff you should also see some rocks going down, use them to get to the water below. From there, head straight over the water to find the cave itself.

If you go through the first cave area and find an elevator, turn around and keep exploring. You should quickly see a chest in front of a wall (which is actually an illusory wall, which is why it’s not in the image below). Open the Chest for the Smithing-Stone Miner’s Bell Roll [2].

To get these Smithing Stones, make sure you have access to the Giant’s Peaks area, which you can access after going through the Great Rold Lift.


If you already have the Zamor Ruins Site of Grace, this is the closest to the location of the Bell Bearingotherwise use the Grand Rold Elevator and follow the path pictured below, the Site of Grace is just on your left.


From there, head southeast into the ruins themselves, past the enemies (which can be sneaked up quite easily if you want to avoid a fight) to the exact point marked on the map below. You should see stairs leading to a catacomb, head inside.


Open the chest behind the door and you will have found the Smithing-Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing [3].

Getting that bell roll is pretty straightforward, as you receive it along the main game’s critical path.

When you get to Crumbling Farum Azula, you will have to fight the two-in-one boss of Godskin Duo. Again, it’s unavoidable, and you get Smithing-Stone Miner’s Bell Bearing [4] to beat them.

The boss can be found near the site of the Dragon Temple of Grace, just go through the door, down the hall and the stairs and enter the giant room.

The first Bell Roll for Dark Forge Stones can be found in the Caelid region of the map. It is located in the Crystal Tunnel of Selliawhich also has a grace site when you enter it. We’ve marked the location of the cave both on the map and via an in-game image as well.


If you prefer, you can reach this location earlier by encountering a Limgrave chest trap not far from your starting point:

When you arrive, this mini-dungeon type area is mostly straightforward except for one section at the beginning. Basically, you’ll need to do a running jump from a rock to a wooden roof in the first large room, and we’ve shown where in the image below.


Eventually, you’ll come to some large wooden doors, and through them you’ll fight the Fallingstar Beast boss, who will reward you with the Somberstone Miner’s Bell Roll. [1].

To find the Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [2] you must travel to the Atlus de Grace tunnel site in the Atlus Plateau. We’ve marked the location on the map image below and provided another screenshot so you can get a rough idea of ​​the location of the entrance itself for the cave you need to You find.


If you haven’t found the cave yet, the best way to get there is to follow the left path at the Grace Site from the Atlus Highway Junction. Follow this path all the way and you should easily be close to the cave itself.


Once inside, go through the cave and head towards the large wooden doors. Behind it, there will be a double crystalline boss. Defeating them will earn you the Bell Roll needed for the Dark Forge Stone. [3] and [4].

For this bell roll, head to the first church of Marika Site of Grace at the top of the Giants Mountains. We have marked it on the map below. The bell bearing is around the north side of the church on a corpse, as also shown below.


If you haven’t reached the church yet, make sure you’ve found the Grace of the Frozen Lake site northwest of it. The relevant grace site is the one pointing the yellow arrow to the church in the image below.


From there, pass the dragon boss and embrace the right side of the frozen lake while riding Torrent, in no time you will arrive at the church.

The aforementioned corpse will have the Somberstone Miner’s Bell Rolling [3] above.

This Bell Bearing may be on the game’s critical path, but can actually be missed if you’re not curious enough. The bell bearing itself is near the balcony grace site facing the storm at the Crumbling Farum Azula.


Just head north from the Grace site and over the rocks, and on the edge is a small hooded body, the Somberstone Miner’s Bell Bearing [4] is lootable from the corpse.

To get that bell rolling, you’ll want travel to the site of grace on the roof of the dragon temple in Crumbling Farum Azula.


From there go down the red tiled rooftops and turn right, you should see the screenshot below with a dragon all the way to the other end. You will then need to head to the dragon itself.


When you approach the dragon, go right and you should move under a giant archway. Follow the path to the right and pass over a rather precarious looking collapsed tower (which you can walk on, but be careful).


Next, you should see a small temple-like structure. Inside there is an enemy, an altar and a corpse. The temple itself is a trap, as two more enemies will come out of the sides once you enter, so watch out.


After defeating the enemies, you can loot the corpse for the Somberstone Miner’s Bell Roll [5]. We have also marked where this temple is on the map below.
